BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom Community College received more than $260,000 in grants to support various programs.
An “Innovations in Creating Access To Careers in Healthcare” grant of $200,000 will provide education and training to TANF recipients and other low-income individuals in Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish and Island counties.
This particular grant comes via the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Office of Family Assistance.
Other grants will provide opportunities for children in the foster care system and prepare students for careers in behavioral health.
