FERNDALE, Wash. — Whatcom Superior Court Judge Ira Uhrig will be laid to rest Friday at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale.
There will be a public graveside service at noon.
Judge Uhrig passed away on May 21st after a long battle with cancer.
In addition to his long career as a Superior and District Court Judge in Whatcom County, Uhrig was also a part owner of Yeager’s Sporting Goods.
The store has announced that they will be closed all day tomorrow so staff can celebrate Ira Uhrig’s life and contributions to the community.
