SEATTLE, Wash. — The suspect in the theft of nearly 40 firearms from two different gun stores, including one in Skagit County, has been sentenced to nearly five years in prison.
39-year-old Joey A. Maillet was identified as the suspect in the April 2019 burglary of a gun store in Sequim, and the burglary of All American Armory in Bow a month later.
To gain entry to the Sequim store, Maillet reportedly used a backhoe to ram its doors in.
At the store in Bow, surveillance video showed he used a stolen pick-up truck to back into the building doors.
The stolen truck was ultimately found abandoned in Birch Bay State Park.
