TUMWATER, Wash. — A gunman injured a teen girl and shot a man in several carjacking attempts Sunday afternoon, before a bystander fatally shot him outside a Tumwater Walmart store.
The Olympian says when the gunman tried to carjack another man’s vehicle, two bystanders outside Walmart drew their weapons and at least one of them fatally shot him.
Police are investigating four scenes connected with the shooting including reports of a drunken driver, two carjacking attempts where he injured the girl and shot a man, and the Walmart incident.
