PUYALLUP, Wash. (AP) – For the first time forty years, the State Department of Agriculture has found actively reproducing female gypsy moths.
Workers found an unusually large number of the destructive leaf-eating pests in the Puyallup area.
The agency’s pest program manager said they are able to remove the infestation and prevent eggs from hatching.
