WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – A three car crash injured two people and closed Hannegan Road during this morning’s commute.

Elizabeth Argueta, 29, and Wilburt Devries, 57, of Everson were taken to Saint Joseph Hospital.

The State Patrol says a Bellingham woman was driving north just after 7 a.m. when she slowed to make a turn between Axton and Smith Road when her car was rear-ended by another vehicle, forcing it into an oncoming car.

She and a passenger in the third vehicle were injured and taken to the hospital.

Troopers say the driver who rear ended her car, Kaylissa Dunmore of Bellingham, faces charges of negligent driving and driving without insurance.

Hannegan was closed for more than an hour and a half, snarling traffic on county roads.
