CALABASAS, Calif. – Harbor Freight Tools is recalling a Pittsburgh-brand jack stand that was offered as a replacement in an earlier recall.
Owner and founder Eric Smidt sent an email to subscribers saying they’ve found a welding flaw in the 3-ton jack stand (SKU 56373) that was supposed to replace one recalled several months ago.
The original recall was for a 3-ton (SKU 56371) and two 6-ton jack stands (SKUs 61196 and 61197).
Anyone with these jack stands should quit using them and return them for a full refund.
Smidt also says that while their other jack stands have been inspected and found to be safe, they’ll give owners refunds or store credit if they have any concerns.
The Bellingham Harbor Freight store is in Sunset Square.
