OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — If you have a hummingbird feeder, watch out for Asian giant hornets.
The Department of Agriculture says they have received reports of the invasive insects visiting hummingbird feeders in the past.
Asian giant hornets are about 1/3 to 1/2 as long as a hummingbird.
Whatcom County is the only place in the United States where they’ve been found.
