The Seattle Times reports the Seahawks have placed top draft pick Malik McDowell on the Non-Football Injury List. The defensive lineman from Michigan State suffered head and facial injuries in an ATV accident two weeks ago. Coach Pete Carroll is remaining vague on McDowell’s status.
“We’re just not saying anything right now,” Carroll said. “Check with the docs. I’ve got nothing to report. I don’t know what I’m talking about.”
Being on the NFI list means McDowell can return to the field at any time. McDowell arrived in Seattle Monday and began meeting with Seahawk officials Tuesday.
