WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – The health officers of all 35 local health jurisdictions in the state have signed on to a notice urging everyone to wear masks in indoor public settings.

Whatcom County Health Officer Dr. Greg Stern joined his 34 colleagues to endorse face coverings regardless of vaccination status.

They say it’s an important precaution where the vaccination status of others isn’t known, and can help reduce the spread of the COVID 19 virus including the Delta variant.

The health officers also urge everyone over the age of 12 to get vaccinated if they can.
