BELLINGHAM, Wash. — The health department is offering guidance to Whatcom County residents related to the 4th of July holiday.
They encourage people to celebrate safely and celebrate small this year in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
They say gatherings should be limited to five friends and that attendees should stay outdoors, wear a mask, physical distance, and avoid sharing food.
The Whatcom County Health Department also advises residents to avoid Birch Bay, which has traditionally been a gathering point for 4th of July festivities.
