WHATCOM COUNTY, Wash. – Heavy rain over the holiday weekend has once again shut down a number of roads and schools across Whatcom County.
Crews are continuing to clean up I-5 northbound after trees fell across the right lane at Nulle Road.
The right lane remains blocked this morning.
I-5 northbound off-ramps at Iowa St and the Guide are both closed due to water across the ramps.
The State Patrol is asking drivers not to try and drive through flooded areas.

The Ferndale School District and the Whatcom Discover Center are closed today, Monday, November 29th.
The Ebenezer Christian School will also be closed today.
Meridian School District is delayed 2 hours and the Lynden School District is delayed one hour.
The National Weather Service says that a flood warning is still in effect for Everson and Ferndale residents who live near the Nooksack River.
The river isn’t expected to reach levels seen a couple weeks ago, but floodwaters heading downstream could cause issues.
An atmospheric river that was supposed to make landfall in Whatcom County over the weekend ended up travelling further north into BC.
