SEATTLE (AP) – HempFest no longer faces a fine from the City of Seattle.

The city accused Seattle Events, also known as HempFest Central, of operating a marijuana business without a license.

But the city dropped the $1,000 fine against the nonprofit organization after an Associated Press inquiry.

The Associated Press asked whether the officials had any evidence that the group actually violated city law.
