FERNDALE, Wash. — Ferndale-based Hempler Foods Group is recalling more than 8,500 pounds of ready-to-eat pepperoni sticks because the product label does not show that it contains milk, a known allergen, and is misbranded.
FSIS reports the company got a customer complaint May 17th saying the Classic Pepperoni packages actually contained Pepperoni with Jalapeno and Cheese.
Hempler’s issued the recall the next day, and there have been no reports of health problems.
