OLYMPIA, Wash. – A new study shows teenagers are drinking fewer sugar-sweetened drinks at school.
The 2016 Healthy Youth Survey was released this month. It found the percent of high school seniors drinking sugary beverages at school fell from 76 to 44 percent in the ten year period ending last year.
The Washington Department of Health credits a USDA program started in 2010 which set standards for food items sold in school.
