Highway 20 Closure Continues

MAZAMA, Wash. – If you plan to head east of the Cascades this weekend, be aware that Highway 20 is still closed.

Crews continue to battle the Varden, Delancy and Cedar Creek wildfires and WSDOT says they’ll reassess the closure on Monday.

Some popular destinations along the North Cascade Highway, like Diablo Lake and the Washington Pass Overlook, are accessible but drivers should plan for extra travel time.

For now, drivers should continue to take State Route 2 or I-90 if they’re heading to eastern Washington.
