OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — A 23-mile stretch of Highway 530 between Arlington and Darrington is being renamed to honor and remember the 43 people who died in the Oso landslide five years ago.
The Daily Herald reports the State Transportation Commission is renaming it the “Oso Slide Memorial Highway.”
The renamed stretch will have signs with the date and time of the slide and the number “43.”
