OLYMPIA, Wash. — A home care aide in Whatcom County had his credential suspended indefinitely this month.
According to the Washington Department of Health, a resident was found on the sidewalk outside of a residential and treatment center while John Edward Herbert was on duty.
The resident was soiled with scratches on his head and arms.
Herbert didn’t respond to a person pounding on his door and yelling his name.
Herbert later admitted that he had been intoxicated while on duty.
The secretary of health indefinitely suspended Herbert’s home care aid credential this month.
