BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Houston man is accused of using an online game to befriend and then extort a Bellingham teen.
The Bellingham Herald reports the teen started exchanging messages with 21-year-old Reginald Jerod Jackson of Houston while playing a game in 2018 and eventually shared her phone number, login information and nude pictures with him.
Jackson gained access to the teen’s email account and sent nude images and video to some of her contacts.
He also created fake online accounts in her name.
Jackson turned himself in without incident Thursday and was booked on charges of extortion, computer trespassing, disclosing intimate images and cyberstalking.
He was released on $50,000 bail on Friday.
