LYNDEN, Wash. – Hundreds lined the streets of Lynden as a procession of firetrucks escorted Interim Fire Chief Robert Spinner’s body.

Spinner died from an apparent heart attack while on duty last week.
He’s the first line of duty death in the Lynden Fire Department’s 107-year history.

Spinner took over for Chief Gary Baar.
Baar tells KOMO he’ll come out of retirement next month to serve as Interim Chief until a permanent replacement is found.
