The Washington Husky football team has added to their 2018 recruiting class. According to the Seattle Times, offensive tackle Matteo Mele has announced his verbal commitment to play for the Dawgs.
Mele, who attends Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona took to social media to deliver the news. Mele posted on Twitter, “I am extremely excited to announce that I am shutting down my recruitment and am 100% committed to the University of Washington to further my football career and education”.

ESPN.com lists Mele at 6-5 and 250 pounds. ESPN recruiting ranks him as a 3-star player with a 78 scout grade. Scout ranks Mele as a four-star recruit
