The Seattle Times reports University of Washington basketball recruit Jaylen Nowell announced Tuesday he’s is still committed to the Huskies after the firing of coach Lorenzo Romar. Mike Hopkins was named the new coach of the Dawgs.
Nowell is the last of Washington’s highly-regarded recruiting class to comment on his intentions.

Nowell said on his Twitter feed, “I’ve decided to put my faith back into my city and remain a Husky.”

Nowell joins 2 other local recruits slated to play for Hopkins next year. Guards Michael Carter III out of O’Dea and Nate Pryor from West Seattle announced they would wear the purple and gold last week.
