A project to improve the I-5 interchange on Slater Road is set to begin in 2023.
The Washington State Department of Transportation says local growth and development will result in continued congestion in the area.
The Legislature approved funding to make improvements to Slater Road from Rural Avenue in Ferndale, through the I-5 interchange to Northwest Drive in Whatcom County.
As the DOT begins to design the project, they’re seeking public feedback to help them determine priorities.
