Improvements underway at Lake Padden

BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Improvements underway on the east side of Lake Padden Park are nearing completion.

Walkers on the path north of the playground area have seen cordoned-off areas as sewer system improvements to benefit golf course and public bathroom buildings on that side of the Lake.

Now, Bellingham Public Works says as the new facilities are nearing completion, those bathrooms may be closed intermittently.

However, the City says portable bathrooms will be in place to serve park users during those times.
