BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Air quality is slowing improving in Whatcom County as marine air pushes smoke out of the region.
Monitors show much of Washington’s air is in “good” condition as of Friday while most of Whatcom County has improved to “moderate” conditions.
Bellingham’s air is still considered “unhealthy.”
The National Weather Service notes the smoke will continue to linger in western Washington for some time as we are surrounded by wildfires and wind from any direction will bring the smoke back through.
For now, temperatures are forecasted to stay in the low-to-mid-70s and the marine flow carries with it the possibility of some rain.
