OLYMPIA, Wash.  – Governor Jay Inslee has brought back a statewide indoor mask mandate and is ordering school employees be vaccinated.

The governor’s vaccination requirement specifies that all employees working in K-12 schools, colleges and universities have until October 18th to be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment.

The requirement includes public, private and charter schools.

As with state employees and private healthcare workers, there is no test out option.

The mask mandate starts August 23 and applies to people in indoor spaces regardless of vaccination status.
