BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Season 2 of “13 Reasons Why” recently released on Netflix and due to its popularity, especially among teens, the Bellingham School District is providing resources for those who need support.

Mental health experts have raised concerns over potential risks this show could pose to viewers based on how it deals with important and complicated issues like suicide, rape, bullying and other difficult topics.

The JED Foundation has tips on what viewers should consider and the Suicide Awareness Voices of Education has provided a toolkit and talking points for parents, students and other viewers.
