OLYMPIA, Wash. — Investigators say a 6-year-old Olympia boy who said a group of bullies his age attacked him and left him with various injuries, lied, and that he was actually hurt in a fall.
KOMO reports when police interviewed a young boy they believed instigated the attack, the injured boy told them he made up the story.
It’s not clear how or where he fell, but it left him with a laceration on his eye that required surgery, a broken arm and other cuts and bruises.
Investigators say no charges will be filed since the boy is 6-years-old, but notified social services.
A GoFundMe site that had been set up for the family’s medical expenses reached over $45,000 before donations were stopped.
