A conductor and several passengers who were injured in the Amtrak train derailment last month have filed a lawsuit against the company.

Lawyers for the passengers tell KOMO Amtrak failed to ensure peoples’ safety.

The December 18 crash near DuPont killed three and injured dozens.

Conductor Garrick Freeman, who was in the front of the train at the time of the crash, suffered a crushed pelvis and cracked ribs.

The lawsuit was filed yesterday (Wed), but Amtrak did not immediately respond to a request seeking comment.
