OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) – A plan to give manufacturers the same tax cut Boeing gets is dead.

Governor Inslee vetoed the bill creating the tax break.

It was one of 13 listed in a bill that Inslee signed, but he used his veto pen on that and on a sales tax exemption for Trans-Alta as it converts its coal plant to natural gas.

Some Republicans argue the manufacturing tax break was part of an overall budget deal that stopped a government shutdown.

Inslee says he never agreed to the tax cut.
