WASHINGTON, D.C. – If you missed the Monday, April 18th, deadline to file your taxes, there’s no need to panic.

The IRS is encouraging everyone who missed the deadline to go ahead and file as soon as possible.

If you owe taxes, you can limit penalties and interest charges by filing quickly.

Some taxpayers automatically qualify for extra time to file.

And the IRS says if you’re due a refund, there’s no penalty at all for filing late.
