BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Whatcom County’s economy continues to add jobs.
New numbers from the Employment Security Department show 2,700 jobs were added in October.
In total, there were 97,500 non-farm positions in Whatcom County last month, up from 94,800 in September.
We’ve seen 3.3% job growth over October of last year.
The unemployment rate did tick up slightly to 4.2%, up from last month’s 4%.
