SEATTLE, Wash. – A federal judge will not approve Seattle’s police-accountability rules.
The Seattle Times reports Judge James Robart is presiding over a 2012 federal consent decree requiring the Seattle Police to address excessive force and biased policing.
Robart says key items require bargaining with the city’s police unions, so he doesn’t want to approve a work in progress.
