BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham K9 Officer Danek is back on patrol.
Danek suffered a leg injury when he and his handler, Officer Kaiser, responded to a domestic violence call nearly two weeks ago.
The dog chased after the suspect who then hit Danek when he caught up.
The police department says on their Facebook page that after a week at home with plenty of medicine and a lot of love Danek is “good as new.”
The department thanks Animal Emergency Care and Village Veterinary for caring for him.
