BELLINGHAM, Wash. –A K9 officer assisted authorities with the arrest of a burglary suspect in Bellingham early Wednesday morning.
Whatcom County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a suspicious person and a possible burglary in progress in the 3300 block of Alderwood Avenue around 12:30 a.m.
When they arrived, a male pushing a shopping cart fled the scene on foot.
The cart, which was next to a broken glass window, was filled with power tools and other tools.
Bellingham Police assisted in setting up a perimeter and a WCSO K9 tracked and located the suspect, identified as 38-year-old Nicholas Shore of Bellingham.
