BELLINGHAM, Wash. – The kayaker who was pulled unconscious from Bellingham Bay Wednesday has died and has been identified as a young man visiting from out-of-state.
Aviation analyst Jeff Lustick said it was a dramatic scene at the Bellingham International airport as Coast Guard and Bellingham Fire crews rushed to save the 24-year-old Georgia man, but the Bellingham Herald reports Tony Kang was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Whatcom County Medical Examiner Dr. Gary Goldfogel says the man died from drowning.
