KENDALL, Wa.- Some parents of Kendall elementary have had to make last minute arrangements to pick up their kids Tuesday.

Parents received a text saying that students from three bus routes (36, 36B and the Oregon Trail portion of Route 34 were kept at the school due to law enforcement activity in the Kendall neighborhood.

Parents were instructed to pick up their students at the school. Under sheriff Jeff Parks says a man barricaded himself in a travel trailer and that led to a negotiation with deputies.

Parks said there were no threats to students safety arising from the incident
