A man now living in Kennewick denies accusations that he tried to take photos of a naked young boy 17-year-ago in a boat at Birch Bay Village Marina.
The Bellingham Herald reports Steven Douglas McConaghy is charged with first-degree child-molestaion and attempted sexual exploitation of a minor in Whatcom County.
McConaghy was under investigation for child pornography in the Tri-Cities.
Court documents show McConaghy told detectives about the incident 17-years-ago and continued to talk about his feelings toward young boys during these interviews.
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office arrested McConaghy after getting this information from the detectives.
