KIIRKLAND, Wash. — A Kirkland mother saved her young son after police say another woman grabbed the boy and ran.
KOMO reports the 2-year-old boy was walking with his grandmother in Bridle Trails State Park Thursday around noon when the woman hit the grandmother on the head and took the boy.
The mother, tending to her infant in a car nearby, saw the woman with her son and chased her down, wrestling the boy back safely.
A nearby officer arrested the woman, who is known to police and believed to have a mental illness.
She faces felony charges.
