The parent company of Fred Meyer stores, Kroger, says it is making progress against Amazon and Wal-Mart.
Sales at already open stores increased 1.1% for last quarter compared to the year prior.
The Wall Street Journal reports digital revenue at Kroger stores more than doubled as grocery delivery was added at 300 locations.
Their “click list” service was launched earlier this year at the Bellingham Lakeway Fred Meyer.
Kroger’s CEO says the focus now is on prepared foods to better compete with restaurants.
