BELLINGHAM, WASH. – A waterfront lot on five-acres of land with beautiful views of Bellingham and Pleasant Bays as well as the mountains and the San Juans can be yours for the low price of about $1.5 million.
Six parcels are for sale in a new development on Governors Point called The Pointe on Governors Point.
The Bellingham Herald reports this is the Sahlin family’s latest effort to develop its 125-acre wooded property off Chuckanut Drive.
Roger Sahlin and his family have owned the property for more than 50 years, but water supply issues have plagued attempts to develop the land.
The properties would share water from three existing wells, but it’s unclear whether Whatcom County’s ban on new developments requiring new wells would affect this project.
