SEATTLE, Wash. (AP) — A wrongful death lawsuit has been dismissed against two Seattle police officers in the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Charleena Lyles.

KOMO reports a King County Superior Court judge dismissed the suit against officers Jason Anderson and Steven McNew but allowed the family’s lawsuit against the city of Seattle to stand.

Lyles was shot seven times by officers in her North Seattle apartment in June 2017 after the mother of four called 911 to falsely report a burglary.

The officers said she attacked them with at least one knife.
