SUMAS, Wash. – The generosity and caring of our community is getting some national attention.
The Nooksack School District posted that Sumas Elementary librarian Kathy Bronkema was invited to New York to film an interview for NBC’s Today Show.
The segment will highlight what the district calls the “waves of kindness” that Whatcom County showed to that school’s students and staff in the wake of November’s flooding.
The school was devastated by flood waters.
The segment is scheduled to air on the Today Show on KING 5 this Friday, June 10th, at 10:20 a.m.
