BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Aerospace supplier Safran Cabin Bellingham will close its facility in 2021.
Spokesperson Christelle Kinkead confirmed the scheduled closure in an email Tuesday.
Kinkead said the sharp decline in global air travel as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic led to a significant reduction of customer demand and revenue, resulting in the closure announcement.
The closure follows the layoff of 200 workers in April.
