BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A local coffee company has won a national award for their top-notch roasts.

Tony’s Coffee was named “2021 Roaster of the Year” by national coffee publication Roast Magazine.

The award not only recognizes Tony’s for its superior coffee, but it also highlights the company’s strong commitments to sustainability

Tony’s is on track to be carbon neutral in their roasting and delivery operations this year and has committed to offsetting its entire historic carbon footprint by 2030.

The company was founded in 1971 and was located in Fairhaven’s historic Terminal Building in the early days, but has since moved to a building in Bellingham’s Irongate neighborhood where about 1.1 million coffee beans are roasted each year.
