BELLINGHAM, Wash. — “We have not slayed Goliath but he has layed his sword at our feet.”
That’s the excited Facebook message out of Bellingham-based clothing retailer NautiGirl Brands after more than 5-years battling with retail giant Nautica in a trademark dispute.
NautiGirl says the former owners of Nautica kept them in court with legal challenges and even sued for financial damages, but new owners that took over in April have made big changes.
The company recently reached what it called a “unique” and amicable agreement with Nautica.
They can’t share details, but say no money changed hands and “NautiGirl Brands will live on!”
