OLYMPIA, Wash. – The State Attorney General’s office says it’s going after two local candidates for campaign finance violations.
40th district Rep. Jeff Morris, D-Mt. Vernon is accused of not disclosing more than $5,000 worth of contributions on time.
The Attorney General’s Office says Democrat Sharlaine LaClair didn’t report nearly $32,000 of debt on time.
They also say LaClair was was late reporting an expense, failed to report an in-kind contribution, didn’t properly identify committee members, and sent out campaign material without proper sponsor identification.
