BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Bellingham is getting more affordable housing.

The Bellingham City Council approved the transfer of a surplus residential parcel to Kulshan Community Land Trust who will build an ADA-accessible, permanently-affordable, single-family residence.

The lot, located in the Sunnyland Neighborhood at 611 Texas Street, is intended for a local family who has not been able to find an affordable home that meets their child’s needs.

Kulshan CLT will work with Bellingham-based architect Greg Robinson who has developed a cottage-style design for the home.
