BELLINGHAM, Wash. — A Seattle man is in the Whatcom County Jail after a robbery, thanks to some teamwork by local law enforcement.
Bellingham Police say in a Facebook post that Sheriff’s deputies and troopers tried to pull over a stolen vehicle after a victim reported he was robbed of his car, wallet and cellphone early Wednesday morning.
The driver of the stolen vehicle sped off on Marine Drive, but soon crashed into a power pole, knocking out power in the area, and police say he then ran away on foot.
Bellingham police dispatched their K9 unit and say K9 Danek tracked and caught the robbery suspect near Little Squalicum Park.
