OLYMPIA, Wash. — State Senator Doug Ericksen of Ferndale has teamed up with three other Republicans to form what they call the Freedom Caucus.
Ericksen said it will give a voice to people who felt their voices weren’t being heard by the state.
He says their focus will be lower taxes, less regulation and peoples’ constitutional rights.
Auburn Republican Phil Fortunato says majority Democrats are pushing “one of the most radical agendas in Washington history.”
He says “rather than working to make these bad ideas somewhat better, we need to draw the line.”
